The year is 1980... We are becoming AMERICANS! We are learning very fast that if you work hard, live modestly and save, we can reach an American dream. Our highlight of the week was driving to the bank every Friday to make a modest deposit. We all lived in OUR house My brother went to the High School, my Dad found a job as a painter and since he did not drive, his boss would pick him up every morning. One day he came home and was very upset. When we asked him what was wrong, he said: " I don't understand. I am trying to work very hard, do my job with high quality, but I was told by the other workers that if I will continue to work like this, I will be in a big trouble..." But we explained to him that he needs to slow down and just take it easy. He was too good ! We went to the Gym in the afternoons and my Mom stayed home with the girls. We were very happy!
